As you can see my primary activity in my leisure time is fly fishing. I've been guiding part time for Atlantic Salmon and Sea run brook trout on the Ste-Marguerite River for several years so naturally this is where the family and I spend most weekends and spare time.

For those who think Atlantic Salmon (Salmo Salar) is for the rich, snobs and professionals, think again. The fishing we do is accessible, easy to learn (even for novice fly fishers) and a very pleasant way to spend a day on the water with friends. If you are new to fly fishing or would like to discover a new river or both, drop us a line.

Comme vous voyez, mon loisir préféré est la pêche à la mouche. Je Guide maintenant depuis quelques années (à temps partiel) pour le saumon atlantique et les truites de mer sur la Rivière Ste-Marguerite. Naturellement, c'est là-bas que je passe mon temps libre avec la famille.

Pour ceux et celles qui pense que la pêche à la mouche pour le saumon atlantique est pour les très expérimentés, pensez-y bien. la pêche qu'on fait ici est accessible, relativement facile et pas trop technique. C'est aussi une belle façon de passer une journée avec des nouveaux amis. Si vous êtes un nouveau amateur de notre passion, où si vous voulez tout simplement explorer une nouvelle rivière, envoyez-nous une note.

The 2007 season:

We had a wonderful 2007 season. After a slow 2006 season, Renée finally had time to come out too.

There wasn't a record number of salmon in the river this year, but those that were there sure were willing to please! The adult trout were just as aggressive as ever and Boris connected to perhaps his personal best this past season.

We had the chance to meet some new friends this year and we ran into many old ones. A special thanks to all the newcomers to the river this year:

Debbie and Dave, Kevin and Carl, Luc (an old hand), Frank and José, Stéphane and Tex, Eric and company, Louis and Vincent, Daniel, Gibbs and Isabelle, Sylvie and André, Pierre and Martin and many others.

Time now to prepare for next season. The fly boxes need to filled. I'm looking forward to meeting some friends next year. It seems as though many newcomers are moving from trout to salmon. Here's hoping to run into Chris, Gaetan, Manon, Bruce and many other next season.
